The DA-BFAR joins in the celebration of the World Water Day!

In the fisheries, water is priceless. But in this planet, fish are not the only organisms that depend on water.We humans do too, maybe just as much as fish do.

This is the biggest likeness we share. And the same way that our fish and fishery resources are threatened due to loss of clean and suitable environments to live in, we might be losing what little available water we have for ourselves at a higher rate than we think.

The theme for World Water Day 2019 is ‘Leaving no one behind,’ in adaptation of the central promise of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: as sustainable development progresses, everyone must benefit.

It promotes that water be made available for all, so let us keep it flowing until everyone gets to experience it.

Let us work together to ensure the sustainable management of water for all, including our co-dependents on it, our fish and fisheries resources.
